She looked all light and peace... until the cafeteria turned into a fireworks show.

Lunch was already weird, but then she lit up like the Fourth of July. One second she’s whispering and glowing soft, the next—BOOM—energy cracklin’ off her like she’s about to launch into orbit. 

Nobody seemed too surprised, which tells me two things: this ain’t their first power surge… and I might’ve seriously underestimated these cape kids. Noted. Still not impressed… okay, maybe a little impressed.
